Privacy Policy

1. Controller and purpose

Meteorix is a web service providing meteorological information. For privacy-related enquiries, you can contact palaspa@gmail.com.

2. Data we process

If you create an account, we process information needed to identify it and maintain your session, such as your email address and, where applicable, the name associated with your account. If you sign in with Google, authentication is provided through Google OAuth and Supabase Auth; Meteorix receives only the information needed to access and maintain your account.

We may also save preferences associated with your account, such as locations, favourites, units and display options, to provide the service and synchronise your settings.

If you explicitly allow location access in your browser, Meteorix uses the coordinates supplied by your device to display weather information for your area and identify a nearby location. Your last selected location may be stored in your browser and, when signed in, synchronised with your account. You may refuse permission and continue using Meteorix through the location search.

3. Reviews and participation

If you submit a rating, suggestion or comment, Meteorix may associate it with your account to prevent spam, moderate participation and manage the publication of approved comments. Public comments are reviewed before being displayed and may be removed or blocked in cases of abuse.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Payments and subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Meteorix does not store your complete card details. Stripe processes the information necessary to manage payments, billing and subscriptions.

5. Analytics

Meteorix uses Google Analytics only if you explicitly agree to analytics in the consent notice. If you decline, Meteorix continues to work. Analytics help us understand aggregate use of the service and improve it.

6. Service providers

To provide the service, we may use technology providers such as Supabase for authentication and account data, Stripe for payments and subscriptions, and Google for sign-in and, with your consent, analytics. Each provider processes information according to its applicable terms and policies.

7. Retention and security

We retain data for as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations or manage our relationship with users. We apply reasonable technical measures to protect accounts and keep sensitive credentials on the server.

8. Your rights

You may request access, correction, erasure or other legally applicable actions relating to your data by writing to palaspa@gmail.com. You may also withdraw or refuse analytics consent.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated when Meteorix features, providers or legal requirements change. The update date will be shown on this page.
